Yes, a valid passport is required unless you are an El Salvadorian citizen. Your passport must not expire for at least six months (October 1, 2026) before your arrival date in El Salvador, as per entry regulations.
So, be sure to check your passport and make sure! You do not need a travel visa from the United States. If you are traveling from a country that is not the USA, please do your research to see if you need a visa.
